There's an odd feeling I've had a few times in my life, just before big ideas come. I had it before I put a plan into action to have ice cream with Bill Clinton and Al Gore on their famous bus tour campaign trail. I had it before I helped save my favorite restaurant as a teenager. I had it before I convinced all of my favorite musicians to form a band. I had it when I started recording Stout & Martinis. I had it when I started the newspaper. But unlike all of those other times, I'm not sure what the move is. "Hey, what's the big idea?" I don't know. The feeling is looming, the idea is absent. But I'm hopeful. Usually this feeling gives my life purpose for an extended period of time.

Moving on to my week in comic books. I read 20 comic books this week. Many were good. A few were great.

The good: Captain America 615.1, Herc 1, Sweet Tooth 20, iZombie 12, Chew 18

The bad: Brightest Day 23, Secret Six 32, The Guild - Tink, Uncanny X-Men 534.1

The great: Jonah Hex 66, Who Is Jake Ellis 3, Blue Estate 1, Green Wake 1, Undying Love 1
