So the songs are uploaded and plugged around the internets, and I'm about to put the project to bed for the year. What did I learn? Forced inspiration is hard, and doesn't pull at the heart-strings like the natural kind. But, there's a lot of fun to be had when you're not afraid of cheese.

Also, just like the last time I tried this challenge, I've learned a lot about time management as well as making synths and spliced takes sound more real than they should. I'd also like to take a class about recording vocals, because it's so much harder than line in stuff, or even mic'd instruments. And piano lessons. Since the keyboard has sort of become my primary instrument (weird for a former guitarist) I'd like to be able to rock out on it without having to splice so many takes together. My true strength is in editing. I'll never forget a studio engineer telling me in the 90s that you can't splice instrument takes together, and that becoming my goal on my computer. Those lessons carry my ass all of the time.

Some of you have emailed wondering if the tracks might be different than from when originally posted. YES. Everything has been remixed and possibly reworked for the final project. Though the links are the same, the MP3s the links go to are not.

I got lots of cool feedback from others attempting the challenge this year, and I thought I'd wrap up by thanking any fellow FAWMers who wander over this way. Your encouragement was wonderful. It seems you guys especially liked Sleepless Beauty, Taun-Taun T-Shirt and The Revolution Will Be Moisturized. These were my favorites, so it touched me you guys were so supportive about those tracks. Thanks.
